About Us

Building the developer tools

Our Values

Performance First

Every endpoint is engineered for speed. Sub-100ms response times are the baseline, not the goal.

Developer Love

We build tools we want to use ourselves. Clean docs, predictable behavior, zero hidden gotchas.

Free & Open Source

No paywalls, no bait-and-switch. The entire platform is open-source and free to use forever.

Reliability

We obsess over uptime. Our infrastructure is designed with redundancy at every layer.

The Story

Seaavey APIs started from a simple frustration: every time we wanted to prototype a front-end feature — a video downloader UI, a data dashboard, an API explorer — we had to either spin up a quick backend or rely on expensive third-party services that changed pricing without warning.

So we built what we needed ourselves: a set of fast, reliable, and completely free REST APIs designed specifically for front-end developers. No rate-limit gotchas, no sudden shutdowns, no hidden costs. We open-sourced everything so the community could inspect, contribute, and self-host if they wanted to.

Today, Seaavey APIs powers prototypes, side projects, and production applications across the globe. Our goal is simple: remove the backend barrier so developers can focus on what they do best — building great user experiences.
